...and the loss of life is not "theirs", is not confined to some abstract and distant other. War and it's horrific consequences diminishes us all.
I fear the precedent of the war in Iraq, that an invasion of another country can be justified so long as a government can effectively spin the reasoning for war into something it's citizens find palatable.
