This
marble sculpture was unearthed by a farmer plowing a field in the days of
Michelangelo. It depcits the Trojan priest Laocoon, and his two sons who were
condemned to a horrible death for opposing the entry of the Trojan horse from
the Greek army.
The right arms of each of the figures were never recovered, as were portions
of the serpent behind the central figure and above the figure to his right.
I have drawn the work complete as I believe it may have looked originally.
