I've always been mysteriously drawn to the work of Rogier van der Wyden. Such a master of execution, his compositions resound like a symphony, and yet there's an idiosyncratic quality, they feel a bit alien, -a world removed.
There's a mystery to the countenance of this lady, and I found when drawing her she eluded me, as if her features changed as I pursued her likeness...
